This is not my review about Avan Ivan movie. Just my thoughst about this movie...
Cast : Director Bala Sir(i know the artists name in this movie, but its Bala sir who is the one who acted in the background)
Avan Ivan is a movie which revolves around a family member and a Jameendhar. A family consists of a man and his wives and their children. Vishal, an artist and Arya a thief by their nature. A Jameendhar who didnot have any family feed this two guys and a small boy companion to Arya. In general, a fight is quite common in a family, that too if its a step-mother's son then we can imagine their rivalry. They will fight/teast among themselves. Both have their personal life too. Arya's lady love is the daughter of a man who was rival of Jameendhar and his property. This makes situation worst.
In the mean time, Jameendhar tries to fight against a mafia gang headed by a villan(R K), who is responisble for cow trading business. In Hindu mythology, cow is worshipped as a God and its a holy symbol of Hindu mythology. For its flush & meat, cow trading mafia gang tries to make money by killing cows. Jameendhar with the help of Blue cross members rescuded hundreds of cows from this gang. Villan tries to take revenge on Jameendhar and rest is the story.
People may complain that this movie does not have a story. For me it has got the backdrop of rescuing cows from the mafia gang. In Naan Kadavul, Bala fought against beggar mafia gang. In this movie, he took backdrop of rescuing cows. Thanks Bala.
Vishal overtakes Arya in some many shots in this movie. But you should not underestimate the acting of Arya too. But its the clash of the titans between Vishal and Arya. To me personally, Vishal takes more credit than bala in this movie. Suria's cameo role will be the final result for Vishal's acting, which is not reel but its real. Vishal you deserve more than one award for this movie and Arya deserves minimum one award.
S Ramakrishnan's dialogue example, "if your god donot know what you want, how can he give what you want?" But through Anandha vikatan i knew Ramakrishnan as a reputed author of good stories, but in some places due to movie's circumstance some of his dialogues are vulgar. Bala Sir & Ramakrishnan sir, please do keep in mind your mass audience has got ladies as well who comes to your movie with their family members. No i am not criticising Bala or S Ramakrishnan here, but this is a wierd situation.
In yesteryears, even sea shore acted as per K Balanchander Sir's direction/instruction(Ek Duje Ke Liye is one of the examples). In this movie even pigeons acted as per Bala's direction/instrcution.
There are some questions raised like how can a police will not investigate a case which is worth Rs 1 crore but these kind of questions will come only after coming out of the theatre. Yuvan's music is good especially he scores more in folk albums in this movie track.
Comedy and Romance is awesome in this movie. You cannot stop laughing in so many occasions in this movie.
Climax : This should be given an "A" certificate not because of the vulgar language, but because of the violance handled in this movie. Fight bewteen R K and Vishal is the height of the violence. Its nothing new in bala's movie. But on the whole i liked this movie.
My kudos list goes to all the crew members of Bala. Bala proved himself as a best project manager. He made things getting done by others.
Bala, Vishal, Arya, Jameendhar followed by all characters(including pigeons) acted well in this movie.
A pledge from me to Bala's fans, if they try to slowly reduce eating Non-vegeterian( I am not asking them to stop eating Non-veg but to reduce eating them. Who am i to have control on others as i dont have any rights to do so, still :) ), they can avoid killing cows for their meat and flush.
Once again credit goes to Vishal, Arya, Jameendhar(even i know his name, he lived as a Jameendhar in this movie). Last but not least Bala deserves more than just one national award for this movie.
Opinions differ. Good movie.
Bala sir : FYI i have put my mobile in silent mode while watching this movie. Best of luck to you and to your team. Congratulations and Kudos to you sir. Correct me if i am wrong :)
